Application Guidelines

All Candidates must read the following instructions before filling the form.
Welcome to the Online Application Portal for Yusuf Bala Usman College of Legal and General Studies. Through this portal, you can make your registration payment and fill the Applicatin Form. You can edit your Application, view your Application profile, upload your scanned documents i.e your credentials, and check your Application Status to know if you have been admitted. Follow the Order:
  1. Logon to http://ybuc.edu.ng/application/
  2. Read the Qualification Criteria.
  3. Click on 'Register' above to fill the registration form. NOTE: Registration is to be done once. If you have registered before just Login to continue filling your form.
  4. On successful registration, you will receive a success email from 'The Yusuf Bala Usman College of Legal and General Studies'.
  5. Click on 'Login' to log on and generate a Transaction ID to make payment at designated banks.
  6. On successful payment, log on to your profile and start filling the application form.
  7. Edit your Application Profile (This will require your recent passport photograph and your biodata).
  8. Edit your Institution Attended.
  9. Edit your Qualifications (WASSCE, and other Certificates are entered here).
  10. Select your choice of Course.
  11. The next section (Declaration and submission of form) will not be displayed untill all sections have been filled correctly.
  12. Print your Exam Card.
  13. Please always check to confirm if you are shortlisted.

Requirement For Admission Into Yussuf Bala Usman College of Legal and General Studies, Daura.

PROGRAMMES AVAILABLE IN THE COLLEGE AND ENTRY REQUIREMENTS:-

1.0 SCHOOL OF GENERAL STUDIES

1.01   HIGHER DIPLOMA IN DEVELOPMENT STUDIES

[i]     A minimum of lower credit in Diploma Development Studies or its equivalent offered by similar tertiary institution.
[ii]   A pass Diploma in related programme of studies plus 3 years post qualification working experience.
[iii]  Any other qualification considered relevant and accept by the College.

1.02 DIPLOMA DEVELOPMENT STUDIES

[i]    4 Credits at SSCE/NECO or their equivalent in relevant subject or

[ii]   Intermediate Certificate in Social Development with a lower credit level.

[iii]   Any other relevant qualification accepted by the College.

1.03 DIPLOMA ISLAMIC STUDIES EDUCATION

[i]    4 Credit (minimum) in relevant subject from SSCE/NECO etc. one must be in Islamic Studies or

[ii]   Teachers Grade II (Pass with 3 Credit/Merit Passes) one must be in Islamic Studies.

2.0 SCHOOL OF LANGUAGES

2.01 ALL DIPLOMA LANGUAGE EDUCATION

[i]    4 Credit (minimum) in relevant subjects from SSCE/NECO etc. must be in the language to be offered or
[ii]   Teachers Grade II (Pass with 3 Credit /Merit) one of which must be in the language to be offered or
[iii]  HIS/SIS etc. with 3 Credit/Merit Passes, one of which must be in the language to be offered.
[iv]   Any other relevant qualification accepted by the College.

2.02  CERTIFICATE COURSES

[i]    2 Credit and 2 Pass in the relevant subject in SSCE/NECO etc. or r
[ii]   Grade II Certificate Pass with 2 Credit in the relevant subject or
[iii]  Any other relevant qualification accepted by the College.

3.0 SCHOOL OF SHARI’A AND CIVIL LAW

3.01   DIPLOMA IN SAHARI’A

[i]    Higher Islamic School Certificate or
[ii]   Senior Islamic School Certificate at Credit or Merit level or
[iii]  SSCE/NECO with Credits in Arabic and Islamic Studies or
[iv]  Advanced Certificate in Arabic or
[v]  Advanced Judicial Certificate Programme or
[vi] Any other relevant qualification accepted by the College.

3.02  DIPLOMA IN QUR’ANIC SCIENCE

[i]    Higher Islamic School Certificate or
[ii]   Memorization of the Holy Qur’an/read and write in Arabic.
[iii]  Tahfiz Certificate in any recognized institution.

3.03  DIPLOMA IN PUBLIC AND PRIVATE LAW

[i]    4 Credits (minimum) from SSCE/NECO etc. one must be English or
[ii]   Teachers Grade II at not more than two sitting or
[iii]  Any other relevant qualification accepted by the College.

3.04  ADVANCED JUDICIAL CERTIFICATE PROGRAMME

[i]    SSCE/NECO with a minimum of 2 Credits or
[ii]   Higher Islamic Certificate or
[iii]  Any other relevant qualification accepted by the College.

 

4.0 REQUIREMENTS FOR NCE PROGRAMMES

[i]  5 Credits two must be Maths & English.
[ii]  Any other relevant qualification accepted by the College.

 

5.0 ENTRY REQUIREMENTS FOR PRE-NCE PROGRAMMES

[i]  3 Credits one must to be either Maths or English and 3 Passes.
[ii]  Any relevant qualification accepted by the College.


*NB All candidates applying for NCE Programmes are to note that they are required to sit for UTME before being admitted.
